The US Capital, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Arlington National Cemetery, Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum… What’s not to see here?! Certainly is a place to visit if your looking for that action packed 3-4 day weekend.

The Vietnam Veteran Wall is a very touching sight to see, along with Arlington of course. Changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier is a moving experience and it occurs every hour, on the hour. Walking around Washing DC at night is really pretty. I loved seeing all of the monuments lit up! There’s a museum called the “Newseum” which has all things related to the history of broadcasting. Theres a lot of interaction too. It’s fun and something different to see!

The Ford’s Theater Museum was where Lincoln was assassinated. You can see the balcony where it happened and then you also get to go inside The Petersen House, the house that he was brought to after being shot and then died. Such history!!

Looking for somewhere to eat?? I would recommend Old Ebbitt Grill. It’s a block away from The White House. It’s the oldest saloon in Washington and has great food.. delicious oysters! www.ebbitt.com
